XCAIC rules
The l’X Collegiate AI Contest (XCAIC) will be on Friday October 23, 10:15-12:15 in room PC 34. We suggest you arrive around 10:00 AM to setup.
XCAIC will broadly follow the rules of ICAIC:
Eligibility
Each contestant from l’X must meet at least one of the following conditions:
- First began post-secondary studies in 2022 or later.
- Was born in 2003 or later.
XCAIC specificities
- The limit of number of submissions is 15 per task (like ICAIC)
- Public and private leaderboard will be the same for Task 2
- We can help you if you have problems with the environment, but not if it’s an algorithm problem
- No-cheating rule: LLM-based assistance is prohibited, use of smartphones is prohibited
Restricted access to the Internet
- You only have access to https://kaggle.com for submitting Task 1, you cannot use it for anything else
- You can browse https://pytorch.org / https://numpy.org / https://pandas.pydata.org / https://scikit-learn.org freely
Tasks
- Task 1 will be similar to the Kaggle example task “Ghost of the Machine”, just on a different dataset.
- Task 2 will be a computer vision task. To practice, here is a notebook.
Both tasks will have a baseline file, i.e. a skeleton Jupyter notebook that you can fill. Submitting the baseline will not count toward the submission limit.
